A BIG thank you to the Far West Waterski Club for welcoming Pacific Slalom to their awesome new dock and thank you to everyone who so generously contributed their time, boats, pantoon boat and homes over the weekend. It was great to see Lake Nacimiento so full of water this spring and provide us with the opportunity to enjoy good skiing conditions back in the narrows.
We started off on Day 1 running into our San Diego friends from as far as 300 miles away who celebrated their favorite bachelor on the dock. We spent the day skiing and catching up with good friends and kicking back. We ended the day with good friends, catching a Led Zeppelin venue in the vineyards of Paso Robles. Absolutely fantastic!
Day 2 on the dock was about educating skiers on new products and guiding them how to ask questions when purchasing waterski equipment. We tuned up many personal waterskis by varying brands for our customers and just two weeks later we witnessed personal bests on their updated equipment. Congrats to Jim Williams for skiing his personal best at the Banana Lakes waterski tournament.
I had the opportunity to spend time getting educated on the new Raptor waterski and had several great conversations with Willi Ellermeier. Day 3 was spent with our good friends Debbie and Steve Crossland who took us further back into the narrows where we swam and visited old favorite spots like Christmas Cove and ‘Dead Cow Beach’, lol… yes, really!
We hope to revisit the lake one more time this season. Thanks again for everyone’s hospitality.
